Hidden in the mountains close to to Maple Ridge is are the Williams Diggings. One more old mine lost to history that is a amazing piece it produced rich ore back in its day. But the gold values in the ore began to decline and the money ran out for further exploration so the diggings where lost to history as the miners moved onto other diggings in the area. So there is still a great deal of mineral poetential left in the old mine. On my last visit I crawled in the mine as far as I could and took the following pictures. You can see the walls are covered in clay and dirt. The walls need to be cleaned to learn more about the vein that was being chased. ALso the location of the mine is ideal.. There is a gate and gate key to deal with when one purchases the mine but I will help you with that process. Unless you have a motorcyle or a quad then it can be reached as well as on foot of course but it will take you a little longer. The mine is located close to Maple Ridge and is a ideal prospect for beginner and beyond. You will not find a property with more potential that is so close to civilization yet still hidden from most with so much history and potential.One of the best properties for hardrock gold in the lower mainland this is your chance to own a real lost mine.
